Description

N'-Phenylbenzohydrazide is a hydroxamic acid that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the activity of cyclooxygenase-2, which is involved in the production of prostaglandins. It is a five-membered ringed compound with an amide functional group. N'-Phenylbenzohydrazide has been synthesized by several experimental and theoretical techniques and its efficiency has been determined using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The transition states for the reaction between N'-phenylbenzohydrazide and cyclooxygenase-2 have also been studied using microscopy, molecular ions, and dicyclohexylmagnetic resonance spectroscopy.
