Informations sur le produit
- 4-pyridinecarboxylic acid
- 2-propyl-
2-Propylisonicotinic acid is a homolytic, oxidative reaction. It is oxidized to 2-propylisonitrile by hydrazine under alkaline conditions. The 2-propylisonitrile can be hydrolyzed to acrylic acid and propylene glycol by an amide or amine. Propylene glycol can be oxidized to acrylonitrile with nitric acid, which can be chlorinated and alkylated to yield pyridinecarboxylic acids. Acrylonitrile can also react with pyridine in the presence of chlorine to form 4-chloropyridine and acetonitrile. Acetonitrile can also be formed by the oxidation of acetone with nitrate in the presence of light.
2-Propylisonicotinic acid has been shown to have photosynthesis activity in plants, which may be due to its ability to regenerate ribulose bisphosphate (Ru
