Polymethylhydrosiloxane is a polymer that is used in coatings and adhesives. It has been shown to be an efficient aid for removing copper chloride from water and can be applied to the treatment of calcium carbonate sludge. Poly(methylhydrosiloxane) also has high affinity for fatty esters, which is important for its use as a mass analyzer in environmental pollution studies.
