Description

3'-Prenylnaringenin is a prenylflavonoid found in Glycyrrhiza uralensis. It is a flavonoid that has been shown to have antiplatelet activity and to modulate the biosynthesis of other flavonoids. 3'-Prenylnaringenin has also been shown to be an important intermediate in the biosynthesis of prenylflavonoids, which are found in many plants including G. uralensis. The regiospecificity of this compound has been studied using techniques such as spectroscopic analysis and X-ray crystallography.
