5-Phenyl-3-pyridine boronic acid hydrochloride (5PB) is a cross-coupling reagent that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. It has been shown to be efficient in the Suzuki coupling reaction, which is a type of coupling reaction that uses an organoboron compound as a coupling agent. 5PB has been shown to be an efficient catalyst for this reaction and can be used with many different types of organoboron compounds.
