1H-Pyrazole-3,5-diamine is a molecule with the chemical formula C6H4N2. It is a white solid that is soluble in water. 1H-Pyrazole-3,5-diamine has been shown to antagonize the effects of sulfamethoxazole and other sulfa drugs by competitively inhibiting the enzyme dihydropteroate synthase (DHPS). This results in an increase in the production of reactive oxygen species that can lead to tissue damage. 1H-Pyrazole-3,5-diamine inhibits growth factor activity and histology in mice. This drug also has a safety profile that includes symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, which are caused by its inhibition of dopamine uptake at nerve terminals.
