Phenyl4-aminosalicylate is a molecule that has inhibitory properties. It is used in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, such as viral infections and cancer. Phenyl4-aminosalicylate binds to the target tissue by means of chemical structures that mimic those found in the cavity. The cavity is an antigen-presenting site on macrophages, which are cells that engulf and digest antigens. Phenyl4-aminosalicylate binds to macrophages via its chemical structure and inhibits the activation of T lymphocytes, thereby preventing activation of immune responses. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
