Description

4-Phenylazobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a chemical that has affinity for the catalytic synthesis of polypeptides. It also inhibits the formation of peptide bonds by blocking the n-terminal amino acid and reducing the yield of oligopeptides. 4-Phenylazobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a useful tool in studying mutations in proteins, as it can be used to block a specific amino acid, which will either create or eliminate a mutation in the protein.
