Description :
Pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1-one is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of imidazole derivatives. The intramolecular hydrogen in this compound is a reaction mechanism. Pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1-one has been shown to be neuroprotective and cardioprotective in animal models. In humans, it has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. This drug is also being investigated for its potential use in cancer treatment. Pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazin-1-one inhibits the homologous recombination process by blocking DNA repair enzymes in human cells and inducing proton efflux from mitochondria.
