Description

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is a polymer that is soluble in water and has a wide range of applications, including as an excipient for pharmaceuticals. PEG 4000 is a water-soluble drug that can be used to inhibit the growth of infectious bacteria in tissue culture or cell culture. It also has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on bacterial cells in gel chromatography and cross-linking agents. PEG 4000 is used as a monoclonal antibody conjugate for immunotherapy, which attaches to specific cells for the purpose of killing them.
