- Potassium dihydrobis(pyrazol-1-yl)borate
Potassium dihydrobis-(1-pyrazol)-borate is an inorganic compound that contains boron and potassium. It has been shown to coordinate with a variety of ligands, including chloroform, benzene, and transition metals. The coordination to the metal leads to a change in the spectrum of the solution from that of the free ligand. This complex can be described as having a molecular structure containing two pyrazole rings that are connected by a single bond and one borate ion. Spectroscopic studies show one ligand (chloroform) coordinated to each borate ion, which may be due to the large number of hydrogen bonds between these groups. Transition metal complexes have also been reported for this substance.
