Informations sur le produit
- (R)-2-Hydroxypent-4-ene
(R)-(-)-4-Penten-2-ol is a molecule that binds to the human opioid receptor and produces effects similar to those of morphine. The (R)-(-) isomer has been found to have higher affinity for the receptor than the (S) isomer, which may be due to its stereoselectivity. The 3D structure of the opioid receptor suggests that the binding site is composed of two subunits, one of which contains a hydrophobic pocket. One hypothesis for this binding site is that it can accommodate molecules with an amide group, such as (R)-(-)-4-penten-2-ol. This drug also has a high affinity for cannabinoid receptors, where it has been shown to inhibit cyclohexanone synthesis in vitro and target another molecule in vivo.
