In addition, perillyl alcohol can bind to the toll-like receptor in its bound form, inhibiting DNA polymerase activity in mouse tumor cells. This drug has also been shown to have anticancer effects on murine hepatoma cells. Perillyl alcohol is a natural compound that has not been found to be toxic or mutagenic in wild-type mice or rats.
