Description :
1-Palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-rac-glycerol is a fatty acid that can be used as an ingredient in cosmetics. It is an activated form of the fatty acid linoleic acid, which has been shown to be effective against skin cancer and act as a diacylglycerol that may have blood pressure lowering effects. 1-Palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-rac-glycerol may also serve as a component of biodiesel fuel. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of fungi by binding to their cell walls, and also has antiinflammatory properties. 1P2L1R1G is purified from calophyllum inophyllum seed oil and japonica rice bran by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods.
