• Description: Phenyl(9H-purin-6-yl)amine is a chemical compound that belongs to the class of alkylating agents. It has optimum concentrations of 10-100 μg/mL and inhibits the growth of bacteria. Phenyl(9H-purin-6-yl)amine has been shown to inhibit nitrosation reactions in vitro by reacting with nitrite, hydroxyl groups, and amines. This chemical can also be used as a nutrient for cell cultures because it does not interfere with other nutrients and can be used at high concentrations without affecting cell growth. Phenyl(9H-purin-6-yl)amine has also been shown to inhibit dehydrogenase activity on excised tissues in vitro.
