• Description: Propafenone HCl is a class Ia antiarrhythmic drug that is used to treat atrial fibrillation and other cardiac arrhythmias. It has a high solubility in water, which makes it suitable for intravenous administration. The binding constants of propafenone to the cardiac muscle and myocardial cells are relatively high. This drug has also been shown to be safe in pediatric patients with congestive heart failure.
