Description :
3-Pyridazinecarboxylic acid is an inhibitor of the enzyme methionine aminopeptidase, which prevents the breakdown of amino acids. This leads to an accumulation of polyamines, which can cause a number of side effects including hepatitis and psychosis. 3-Pyridazinecarboxylic acid has been used in the treatment of chronic schizophrenia with some success.
