Description :1,9-Pyrazoloanthrone is a compound that has been shown to inhibit the inflammatory response in experimental models of bowel disease. It is also a potent inhibitor of xanthine oxidase, which is involved in the production of reactive oxygen species and inflammation. 1,9-Pyrazoloanthrone has been shown to decrease systolic blood pressure in fetal bovine and to increase c-jun phosphorylation, an event associated with apoptosis and cell signaling pathways. 1,9-Pyrazoloanthrone may be used as an anti-cancer drug because it inhibits carcinoma cell viability by blocking signal pathways and cell signaling pathways.
