Description :
N-Propylimidazole is a synthetic compound that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other chemicals. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the protein cytochrome c oxidase and blocking its function. The functional groups on N-propylidazole are important for the inhibition process. N-Propylimidazole also binds to calcium carbonate, which is a very common substance found in nature.
