Description

Nomega-(2,2,4,6,7-Pentamethyl-dihydrobenzofuran-5-sulfonyl)-L-arginine is a synthetic peptide that has been used as a solid phase synthesis building block. It has been shown to be stable in the liquid phase and to undergo cyclic macrocyclization with piperidine. This compound has been used to synthesize sequences of molecules with up to five amino acid residues. The yields obtained for this reaction are high and the macrocyclization provides a means of introducing side chains onto the molecule.
