Description :
2-Piperazin-1-yl-benzooxazole is an antibacterial drug that binds to the 5-HT4 receptor and inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of enteropathogenic bacteria, such as staphylococcus, and exhibits anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines in response to bacterial infection. 2-Piperazin-1-yl-benzooxazole has also been shown to have gastrointestinal motility effects, which may be due to its activation of 5HT4 receptors on myenteric neurons.
