Description

2-Phenoxypropylamine hydrochloride is a hydrogen chloride salt that belongs to the class of amines. It is used in the production of other chemicals, as well as pharmaceuticals. 2-Phenoxypropylamine hydrochloride has been shown to be effective in the treatment of mental disorders such as depression and anxiety. The drug inhibits the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) and norepinephrine (NE) by blocking their transporters, which leads to an increase in their levels within the synapse. 2-Phenoxypropylamine hydrochloride also binds with high affinity to 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C receptors, which are involved in mood regulation.
