Description

Phenylacetic acid isopentyl ester (PAI) is a fatty acid that has the following functional groups: phenyl, carboxylic acid, and alcohol. PAI is an acid that can be found in the cerebral cortex of mammals. It is used as a polymerization initiator and has anti-epileptic properties. This compound also has antidepressant-like activity and may be beneficial for patients with depression. PAI has an average particle diameter of 5.8 nm, which means it can easily penetrate the skin barrier.
