3-Pyridinecarboxylic Anhydride (3PCA) is an inorganic acid that can be found in the oxidation products of pyridinium salts. 3PCA has a reactive functional group and can form β-unsaturated ketones with amino function. It is a functional group for chloride and antihypertensive activity. 3PCA also has infectious disease applications, as it can be used to treat infections caused by estradiol and calcium carbonate. 3PCA is also used to make butyric acid, sodium carbonate, and other chemicals.
