Informations sur le produit
- Polystyrene IodosoacetatePSDIB
Poly[4-(diacetoxyiodo)styrene] is a polymer that is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents. It reacts readily with primary alcohols, peroxides, and carbon tetrachloride to produce poly(4-hydroxystyrene). This polymer has been used as an intermediate for the synthesis of other polymers. Poly[4-(diacetoxyiodo)styrene] can also be prepared by diacetylation of styrene with triflic acid followed by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide. The reaction time and amount of solvent are important factors in the reaction.
