Description

Parthenolide is an anticancer drug that inhibits protein kinase, which is a type of enzyme that modifies proteins. It has been shown to inhibit the cell cycle at G2/M and induce apoptosis in tumor cells. Parthenolide also induces DNA fragmentation and inhibits cancer cell proliferation. This drug has been shown to be effective against leukemia cells in vitro, with minimal effect on normal human cells.
