Phosphonitrilic chloride trimer is a reactive chemical that can be used in the production of other chemicals. This reaction is reversible and can also be catalyzed by metal hydroxides, such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. The basic structure of this compound is p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which contains nitrogen atoms and chloride groups. Phosphonitrilic chloride trimer is chemically stable, but reacts with strong bases or acids.
