3-Perfluorobutyl-1,2-Epoxypropane is a hydrogenated form of epoxypropane. It is synthesised through the reaction of epichlorohydrin with 1,3-difluoro-2-propanol and has been shown to possess cell apoptosis activity. 3-Perfluorobutyl-1,2-Epoxypropane can be used as a chemical additive for coatings, viscosity, and surface properties in various industries. This compound also has the ability to bind to metal surfaces such as aluminum or stainless steel. 3-Perfluorobutyl-1,2-Epoxypropane is composed of fluoroalkyl groups that are similar to polyethylene glycols. The molecule contains two rings that are connected by an ether bond. The ring on the left side of the molecule opens up when exposed to light and reacts with silicon in the presence of an acid catalyst to
