It also inhibits the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and blocks NFκB-mediated tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα) production in human monocytes. In addition to these effects on inflammation and cancer cells, 2,3,4,5,6-Pentafluorocinnamic Acid also prevents uv irradiation from damaging cellular DNA.
