Potassium ethoxymethyltrifluoroborate (KEMTFB) is a benzothiophene that has been shown to be an agonist of the G-protein coupled receptor, GPR40. It has been shown to stimulate insulin secretion in pancreatic beta cells and can be used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
