Description :
Potassium trifluoromethylborate is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the replication of influenza virus. It is an inhibitor of the row transition metals, such as iron, copper, and silver. It inhibits the hepatitis C virus by interfering with electron transfer in the active site of the enzyme RNA polymerase. This drug also has anti-inflammatory effects and may be useful for cardiovascular diseases. Potassium trifluoromethylborate has a structural formula that includes nitrogen atoms and alicyclic groups. It is an isomeric substance with two possible structures: one with two aromatic hydrocarbon rings and one without.
