Description :
4-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde is a quinoline derivative that is an electrophilic reagent. It reacts with nucleophiles in the presence of base to produce quinolines. 4-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde can be used as a chemical intermediate for preparing various drugs, such as epidermal growth factor and phosphite. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm has been used to study the binding of this compound to bacterial cells. This molecule also has electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction data available. 4-Quinolinecarboxaldehyde is stable in low energy environments and can be stored at room temperature without decomposing.
