• Description: Rimsulfuron is a herbicide that inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which is involved in fatty acid biosynthesis. It also has been shown to inhibit the enzyme aromatase, which converts testosterone to estradiol. Rimsulfuron has been shown to cause cell lysis and congestive heart failure in rats exposed chronically to this drug. The matrix used for sample preparation should be chosen carefully to avoid interference with the analytical method being used.
