Description

Rubidium chloride is a chemical compound that is used in the treatment of chronic heart failure, as well as in other conditions. Rubidium chloride has been found to have a positive effect on locomotor activity and a negative effect on thermal expansion. It has also been shown to have an experimental solubility data in water. Rubidium chloride has been shown to be absorbed into the blood from the gastrointestinal tract, and is excreted by the kidneys. This chemical compound has been found to be transported across biological membranes by passive diffusion. Rubidium chloride may be used as an intravenous anaesthetic for patients who are allergic to sodium pentothal or thiopental sodium. Rubidium chloride may also be used for quantitative plasma mass spectrometry.
