Rhodium trifluoroacetate dimer is a coordination compound of the transition metal rhodium with two trifluoroacetate ligands in the molecule. The compound is prepared by reacting ethyl diazoacetate, phenyl groups and trifluoroacetic acid. Rhodium(II) trifluoroacetate dimer has three crystallographically independent molecules in the crystal lattice and a molecular weight of 603.72 g/mol, which corresponds to an empirical formula of RhF(OCCOOCH). It has coordination chemistry with electron-deficient groups such as p2.
