Description

H-Ser-Asp-Gly-Arg-Gly-OH is a peptide and model system for epidermal growth factor. It has been shown to stimulate epidermal growth and protein synthesis in the skin cells. The peptide has also been shown to inhibit fibrinogen production by monoclonal antibody, which is a biochemical marker of wound healing. H-Ser-Asp-Gly-Arg-Gly-OH analogs have been shown to inhibit the activation of epidermal growth factor receptor and have an inhibitory effect on cell growth.
