Silandrin Hplc is a natural compound that is extracted from the fruit of the plant Silandria japonica. It has been shown to have hepatoprotective effects in cell culture and human liver tissue culture models. Silandrin Hplc inhibits protein synthesis by binding to dna, which may be due to its ability to inhibit lps-stimulated raw264.7 cells. The mechanism of action for this drug is not fully understood, but it has been shown that it inhibits hepatic injury caused by carbon tetrachloride in rats. This drug also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and protein synthesis. Silandrin Hplc's bioavailability is low due to its high molecular weight and low water solubility.
