Description

Styralyl acetate is a liquid that belongs to the group of glycol ethers. It can be used as a model system for process optimization in the preparation of microcapsules. Styralyl acetate is usually used to make surfactants, which are cationic agents that form an electrostatic interaction with the negatively charged surface of bacteria, leading to their destruction. The binding constants for styralyl acetate and bacterial cells were determined using surface methodology.
