Description :
Z-Ser-Thr-OMe is a metalloprotease inhibitor. It is an amide and inhibits the proteolytic activity of serine, threonine, and aspartic acid proteases by binding to their active sites. Z-Ser-Thr-OMe has been shown to inhibit the activity of chymotrypsin and trypsin in a polyacrylamide gel assay. The enzyme was inactivated by sodium periodate and filtration before it was subjected to osmium tetroxide, which crosslinks proteins with DNA, thus preventing DNA from being isolated for analysis.
