Description :Stearamide is a drug that belongs to the class of thermodynamic data drugs. It has been shown to be a selective inhibitor of the Toll-like receptor, which is a type of protein found on the surface of cells in mammals and other animals. Stearamide has been shown to have no significant drug interactions. Stearamide is used as an immunosuppressant in bowel disease and as an antidiabetic agent in animal models. The target enzymes for stearamide are not known, but it may inhibit phospholipase A2 and cyclooxygenase 2. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy has been used to study the interaction between stearamide and zirconium oxide, which provides thermodynamic data for this drug.
