Description

Sulfosuccinic acid is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of coumarin derivatives. It has been shown to have good chemical stability in a variety of solvents, including water. Sulfosuccinic acid is also soluble in sodium salts and can be easily prepared as an aqueous solution or as a powder with particle size less than 10 microns. The surface methodology for this compound includes methods such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Sulfosuccinic acid has been found to have matrix effects on proteins and enzymes, which may be due to its basic properties. It is also used in nanoparticulate compositions for lc-ms/ms analysis.
