Sutherlandiosid D is a natural product that belongs to the group of flavonoids. It is found in tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum) and has been shown to have strong antioxidant properties. This compound has also been shown to have anti-cancer effects through inhibition of cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis in human tumor cells. Sutherlandiosid D is classified as a glycoside derivative and its chemical structure was determined using 2D NMR spectroscopy.
