Description :
1,3,5-Trichloro-2-nitrobenzene is an aromatic hydrocarbon. The 1,3,5-trichloro group is a reaction product of the 1,3,5-triazine and nitrobenzene. The presence of a fatty acid in the reaction mixture increases the rate of formation. The chemical compound has a viscosity that can be measured gravimetrically. It is soluble in hydrochloric acid and reacts with polycarboxylic acids to form esters. This chemical compound can also be used as a pharmaceutical dosage when it is dissolved in water vapor or anhydrous sodium hydroxide solution.
