Cyproterone acetate (CPA) is a potent antiandrogen that inhibits the production of testosterone and estradiol. It has been shown to be effective in treating testicular cancer, prostate cancer, and other hormone-dependent cancers. CPA has also been used in combination with metoclopramide for the treatment of gastric ulcers. CPA is administered by injection into muscle or fat tissue, or by subcutaneous injection.
