Description :
4-Trifluoromethylbenzenepropanal is a potent and selective antagonist of the histamine H3 receptor. It has nanomolar potency, which means it binds to the receptor with a very high affinity. The dimethoxyphenyl group in the molecule has been shown to be essential for binding to the H3 receptor. 4-Trifluoromethylbenzenepropanal may be useful for research purposes, but is not likely to have any therapeutic applications as an H3 receptor antagonist.
