Description

Triphenylformazan is a chemical compound used in biological treatment of urinary tract infections. It is used as an indicator for the activity of various enzymes, such as fibrinogen and urease. Triphenylformazan also has biological properties that are similar to those of ATP, but it does not have the ability to form adenosine diphosphate (ADP). This compound can be used as a chromatographic agent for the analysis of biological compounds. The optimum concentration of triphenylformazan is 50 mM.
