It also causes release of acetylcholine from nerve endings and increases transport rate for nucleotides in rat striatal cells. 2-(1,3-Thiazol-2-yl)ethanamine has been shown to increase intracellular calcium levels in rat striatal cells and has significant histamine releasing properties.
