4-(1H-Tetrazol-1-yl)phenylacetic acid (PTZ) is a glucose-lowering drug that is structurally similar to an endogenous metabolite of glucose. It has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties in animals and humans, highlighting the importance of the metabolic pathways in determining its pharmacokinetics.
