Description :
2,2,2-Trichloro-1-(1-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)ethanone is an acylation agent that has been used to synthesize a variety of different amides and imidazoles. It has also been used in the synthesis of pyrrole methyl esters and chloride derivatives. The compound is a chlorinating agent that can be used to produce trichloromethyl and trichloroacetyl groups. 2,2,2-Trichloro-1-(1-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2y)ethanone reacts with proline to form an acylated derivative.
