Description

4,5,67-Tetrahydro-1H-indazole-3-carboxylic acid (4,5,67-THIOCA) is a drug that is being investigated for its potential use as an anti-cancer agent. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis in the cells. 4,5,67-THIOCA has also been shown to decrease mitochondrial membrane potential and increase membrane potential in the mitochondria of cancer cells. This drug may be useful for many different cancers because it affects the mitochondrial membrane potential which is known to be important for cancer cells.
